- VK (originally VKontakte, Russian: ВКонтакте, literally "in touch") is the largest Russian social network in Europe. General, including music upload, listening and search. Popular in Russia and former Soviet republics.
- Tumblr Microblogging platform and social networking website.
- LinkedIn is a business-oriented social networking service.
- Renren Significant site in China. Was known as 校内 (Xiaonei) until August 2009.
- Instagram is a fast, beautiful and fun way to share your life with friends and family.
- Bebo General and a popular text messaging app
- Tagged provide a easy way to meet and socialize with new people through games, shared interests, friend suggestions, browsing profiles, and much more.
- Netlog is a youth community where users can keep in touch with and extend their social network. Popular in Europe, Turkey, the Arab world and Canada's Québec province. Formerly known as Facebox and Redbox.
- hi5 General. Popular in Nepal, Mongolia, Thailand, Romania, Jamaica, Central Africa, Portugal and Latin America. Not very popular in the USA.

In our point of view, there has been a major growth of social media available to organisations. While many of these social networks have existed for years prior to the advent of marketing and would normally be deemed as simply internet marketing tools, many of them are rechristening themselves as internet marketing tools for sales. And there are more social network new comer are coming soon or after, such as Pulse, a new social/geo-location platform that aims to make African education more social and enjoyable is looking to become the superman of all social networks.
